Meet Felix, a big young lab mix. Someone put a lot of effort into training and caring for him but they never came to claim him so he is now available for adoption. Felix knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and fetch. In fact, he is one of the best retrievers we've seen come through the shelter! Felix has a lot of love to give and energy to burn, and would do best in an active home with other dogs and children who like to play as much as he does.

Adoption fees range between $50 and $150, depending on the age and size of the dog. Spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, flea treatment, dewormer, and microchip are all included.


Prospective adopters must agree to a home visit, have secure fencing and allow their dog to sleep inside at night. Those coming from out of town may submit a vet reference in place of a home visit. All renters need landlord approval.


If you already have a dog or two, they must be spayed/neutered and brought to the shelter for a meet and greet. Homes that already have more than two dogs, or any unaltered dogs, will not be considered. 


Exceptions to these rules may be made in special circumstances.
